Upcoming road closure of Brock Road in Pickering

The Regional Municipality of Durham has notified residents of upcoming road closure and lane restrictions on Brock Road in the City of Pickering.

The road closure will be from April 29 to 30 on Brock Road, from the entrance of the GO parking lot (south of Highway 407) to Taunton Road, in Pickering. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule, said a statement.

The lane restrictions will be in May on Brock Road just north of Taunton Road in Pickering, it said

It said the road closure and lane restrictions will be in place for the safe installation of a sanitary sewer.

Local access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained, the region said adding that it realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
