Two charged after stolen vehicle crashes during Pickering joyride

Two males are facing numerous charges after a stolen vehicle is involved in a fail to remain collision in Pickering.

On Tuesday, March 11, at about 1:25 am, members of West Division said they responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Kingston Road and Whites Road. A Black Ford Fusion was traveling at a high rate of speed when it lost control and left the roadway. Two males were seen fleeing the vehicle on foot.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen. Officers arrived on scene and began setting up containment in the area. Two males were located and taken into custody without incident.

A 21-year-old male from Toronto and a 13-year-old male from Whitby were both charged and held for a bail hearing. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
