Two men stabbed in Oshawa, one woman held

Durham Police yesterday said a 24-year-old man was stabbed in Oshawa on Sunday evening.

On October 17 at about 8:50 p.m., members from Central East Division were called to the McDonalds restaurant on Ritson Road and Dean Avenue for reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived and located a victim suffering from serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital and then to a Toronto-area trauma centre, said a police statement.

Police searched the immediate area with negative results.

Two suspects were seen fleeing on foot from the scene. There are no suspect descriptors at this time.

Meanwhile, a tweet from the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said: Officers are on scene for a stabbing at Albert St. near Banting Ave. in Oshawa. One male has sustained injuries and being taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A female has been taken into custody. Investigation is ongoing.
