Two stabbing cases in two days in Clarington

A 16-year-old male has been arrested after a stabbing at a residence in Bowmanville, according to the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).

On Saturday, November 26 at about 9:24 am, members of East Division responded to a residence in the area of Kenneth Cole Drive and Bruce Cameron Drive. Officers located a male with serious but non-life threatening injuries. A teenaged male was arrested at the scene. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre and remains in stable condition, said a police statement.

The 16-year-old male is charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon. He was held for a bail hearing.

Fight outside of Frosty John’s

Several hours later, early on Sunday, November 27 at around 1 am, members of East Division responded to a fight call on 100 Mearns Avenue, Bowmanville.

A male party was located suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to a local area hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, said the police.

Police are looking for witnesses after a fight outside of Frosty John’s in Clarington early Sunday morning. Police said they are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the fight or anyone that may have any cellphone or dashcam video to come forward.
