Two suspects sought after violent home invasion in Pickering

Durham police are investigating a home invasion in Pickering that left one person injured and two suspects still at large.

Officers from West Division responded to a call around 5 am on Saturday, July 5, in the area of Creekview Circle and Downland Drive. According to police, two suspects forced entry into a home, physically assaulted the victim, and stole personal property before fleeing the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police have since located the suspect vehicle outside of Durham Region, but the two suspects remain outstanding. Investigators believe this was an isolated incident.
