The City of Pickering said it was proud of Yara and Kaylie-Ann who donated all the money they had to the Pickering Animal Shelter.
In a tweet yesterday, the City of Pickering said these two young girls visited Pickering Animal Shelter last week to donate the money.
“Yara saved her money up and presented over $100 (which will help care for the animals) and Kaylie-Ann spent all of her birthday money on treats for the animals at the shelter,” it said.
