Ultrasound tech held for sexual assault… and released

Durham Police said a 58-year-old male has been charged with sexual assault involving one of his patients in Oshawa.

Last May, members of the Central East Criminal Investigations Bureau commenced an investigation in Oshawa after a female patient of an ultrasound and x-ray clinic came forward to police to report a sexual assault.

The suspect, an ultrasound and x-ray technician, had touched the victim in an inappropriate sexual manner during a medical procedure.

Investigators arrested, charged the suspect and released him on an undertaking.

Investigators want to ensure there are no further victims. The accused has worked at numerous clinics throughout the GTA (Greater Toronto Area).
