The Hamilton Oshawa Port Authority (HOPA Ports) and City of Oshawa yesterday announced that the pier at the Oshawa waterfront is temporarily closed following a vessel incident the morning of Saturday, September 25.
“To ensure public safety, the pier will be temporarily closed. We request that visitors to Lakeview Park adhere to the temporary closure of the pier,” said a joint statement.
“Timing on the reopening of the pier will be shared once updates are available. We apologize for the disruption,” it added.
No further details were released till late last night.
