Victim forced to give up car at gunpoint at Town Centre

Durham Police investigators are looking for three suspects following a carjacking Monday evening.

This is a second such incident after an Aston Martin was carjacked from Pickering Casino Resort (see below) a few days ago.

On Monday, July 24 at about 8:30 pm, members of West Division responded to the Pickering Town Centre located at 1355 Kingston Road for a carjacking that had occurred.

The victim was inside his vehicle when he was approached by two suspects, one brandishing a firearm. The suspects demanded the victim’s keys, and then stole his vehicle and travelled eastbound through the parking lot. The suspects had arrived in a stolen black BMW sedan which was driven by a third suspect, said a police statement.

There were no physical injuries reported. The victim’s vehicle has since been recovered in Toronto, it added.

The three suspects are described as:

Suspect #1: male, Black, thin build, 6’1”, 20-30 years old, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and black baggy pants.

Suspect #2: male, Black, medium build, 20-30 years old.

Suspect #3: male, Black, medium build, 20-30 years old, facial hair.

Investigators are encouraging anyone with information or video footage, including dashcam, to contact police.
