Walmart gunman held with second firearm

Durham Police investigators have arrested an 18-year-old male and seized a second handgun in connection with a disturbance in an Ajax store.

On January 28 the male suspect was arrested with the assistance of Toronto Police Service. Investigators from West Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Nielson Road in Toronto. During the search warrant, investigators seized cash, drugs (oxycodone) and a second handgun with ammunition.

KR of Toronto is charged with numerous firearms-related charges including: Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x2; Knowledge of an Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x2; Tampering with a Serial Number of a Firearm; Weapons Dangerous x2; Careless Storage of Firearm; Store Firearm in Contravention of Storage Regulations; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Schedule I) x2.

He was held for a bail hearing.
