Watch ‘Kiss the Ground’ for free at Regent Theatre

A free screening of the documentary film ‘Kiss the Ground’ narrated by Woody Harrelson will be held on Thursday, October 20 at the Regent Theatre in Oshawa.

It is being presented by the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee (OEAC), in partnership with the Region of Durham and Ontario Tech University’s Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability.

This documentary explores a ground breaking solution to climate change, digging into how regenerating the world’s soils has the potential to rapidly stabilize Earth’s climate, restore lost ecosystems, and create abundant food supplies. Stars Jason Mraz, Ian Somerhalder, Gisele Bündchen, Patricia Arquette, and David Arquette communicate their perspective on this critically important subject in the documentary, which is directed by Josh Tickell and Rebecca Tickell, said a city statement.

The event will start at 6:30 pm.with a networking opportunity for attendees. Then, at 7 pm, the evening will change pace with a presentation followed by the film screening.

Admission for the night is free. There will be a cash bar and door prizes awarded after the screening. Donations of non-perishable food items for our local food bank will also be accepted.
