Whitby stop leads to Ajax drugs, cash haul

A drug investigation in Ajax resulted in the seizure of cash and drugs after executing search warrants.

On Friday, April 15, members of Central West Division Community Resource Unit concluded a local drug investigation with the arrest of two suspects. The male suspect and a female passenger were arrested during a traffic stop in Whitby. Investigators later executed a search warrant at an Ajax residence and seized cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine and cash.

The 23-year old from Ajax, is facing numerous drug-related offences, including Traffic in Schedule I Substance (fentanyl) and Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking x6. He was held for a bail hearing

The 27-year old female of Whitby was charged with Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking x3. She was released on an Undertaking.
