15-year old male stabber charged and released

Durham Police said a 15-year-old male has been arrested and charged following a stabbing investigation.

On September 11 at about 5:20 pm, members of Central East Division responded to reports of a stabbing in the area of Oxford Street and Venus Crescent, in Oshawa.

Officers located a 16-year-old male with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a local area hospital. After reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses investigators have located the suspect, said a police statement on Friday.

A 15-year-old male of Oshawa has been charged and released on an undertaking. He was not named.
