17-year old run-over skateboarder dies, but saves 7 lives

Durham Police yesterday said the 17-year-old female who was run over by a vehicle in Uxbridge last Friday evening, has succumbed to her injuries.

On September 22 at about 6:25 pm, officers from North Division responded to a parking lot at 335 Main Street North in Uxbridge for a female that was run over by a vehicle.

Witnesses report that the young female was skate boarding behind a silver Dodge Pickup truck while holding onto the rear side of it, near the wheel. She lost her balance and fell to the ground; at which time she was run over by the truck. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, said a police statement.

The female pedestrian was in critical condition and transported to a local area hospital. She was later transported to a Toronto area trauma centre where she succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday, September 26.

When Lillian got her G1 licence, she signed up to be an organ donor. After her unfortunate passing, her organs were donated and seven lives were saved.
