17-year old female driver charged in fatal truck rollover

Durham Police have charged the driver, a 17-year-old female from Durham Region, for a fatal rollover incident in October after which one 15-year old died, and six were injured.

The hurt are still recovering from their injuries.

One of the occupants, a 15-year-old male from Sunderland was fatally injured as a result of the collision.

The remaining six occupants, all ages 15 to 17, were all transported to Toronto-based trauma centers and are now recovering from their injuries.

On Friday, April 1, the driver, a 17-year-old female from Durham Region, was charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death, along with five counts of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm.
