Warrant issued for store robber and vehicle thief

A warrant has been issued in connection to a convenience store robbery in Ajax, as well as a second robbery in Oshawa and a vehicle theft in Whitby.

On March 20, the suspect is believed to have conducted a robbery at the Foodmart convenience store on Westney Road in Ajax. On Sunday, March 27, the suspect is believed to have robbed the Glovers Convenience store on Simcoe Street in Oshawa, and stole a vehicle from a private residence in Whitby, said a police statement.

A warrant has been issued for the 34-year old suspect of no fixed address. He has been charged with: Robbery x2; Weapons Dangerous x3; Administer a Noxious Substance; Assault with a Weapon; Disguise with Intent x 2; Possess Property Obtained by Crime over $5000; Theft of a motor vehicle and Fail to Comply – Probation x6.
