17-year old held for Dragon Fly murder in Pickering

Durham Police investigators have charged a 17-year-old male in a shooting that claimed the life of a 32-year-old male in Pickering last year.

On February 10, Major Crime – Homicide investigators arrested a 17-year-old male for a homicide that occurred in a townhouse complex on Dragon Fly Avenue in Pickering on September 2021, said a police statement.

The 17-year-old male who resides in Richmond Hill is charged with: Second Degree Murder; Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm – No License; Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited – Knowingly Not Unauthorized; Unlicensed Person Possess Prohibited Device; Careless Storage of a Firearm and Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime.

He was to appear in court yesterday.
