797 traffic tickets issued in Oshawa in 26 days

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) on Thursday concluded its traffic safety campaign for September in Oshawa issuing more than 30 tickets a day on average.

“Today marks the end of the September Roadway Safety Initiative [RSI], said a statement from DRPS Central East Division, which covers Oshawa.

“The RSI team issued 452 tickets in the last two weeks and a total of 797 were issued in Oshawa through the month,” it said.

“We will be back and continuing our road safety campaign in early October,” the police added.
