The Town of Ajax has announced a road closure for part of Finley Avenue, as well as the closure for reconstruction of St. Andrew’s parking lot.
“Please be advised that Finley Ave will be closed near #410 between Bayly Street and Clements Road West,” said a notice from the town. “The road will be closed from August 29, 2022 to September 2, 2022 for five days total”.
The town said the closure (see below) is required to connect a new storm line to an existing line on Finley Avenue, as well as install a new manhole within Finley Avenue.
St. Andrew’s Parking Lot Reconstruction
Ajax also said it is currently completing construction as part of the St. Andrew’s Community Centre site improvements project.
During construction, the parking lot and areas adjacent to the buildings (see below) will be closed from August 29 – early November.
The town said it sincerely appreciates the understanding and patience of residents as it completes this work.
Oshawa sidewalk closure
Oshawa announced a sidewalk closure for the Hillcroft Street culvert rehabilitation.
Date: Until October 2022
Details: Rehabilitation of Corrugated Steel Pipe (CSP) culverts on Hillcroft Street, approximately 200m west of Wilson Road North. The City of Oshawa has awarded Contract No. O 22-05 to GMP Contracting. The rehabilitation work includes the installation of new CSP liners as well as the relocation of the 8” watermain on north side of Hillcroft Street in the area of the culvert crossing.
