Foreign scammer roofers awol after arrest and release

Durham police yesterday said two males arrested for a roofing scam are now wanted after failing to comply with their release orders.

Following their arrests, both males were held for bail hearings before being released on release orders issued by the Ontario Court of Justice. One of the conditions of the release order was to reside at the addresses the accused provided to the courts.

Members of the DRPS Financial Crimes Unit conducted compliance checks on both accused and neither reside at the addresses they provided to the court, said the police.

One suspect, age 24 is from Ireland, and the other age 28 is from Great Britain. Names, photos and other details available at www.drps.ca.

Anyone who has seen these individuals or is aware of their location is asked to contact D/Cst.Tisi of the Financial Crimes Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5279.
