17-year old Oshawa Centre stabber arrested

A male youth has been arrested for stabbing another youth at the Oshawa Mall.

On January 30, at approximately 5:10 pm, members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call at the Oshawa Centre, located at 419 King Street West. A male youth stabbed another youth after an altercation near the food court inside of the mall.

On Thursday, February 1, members of the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Branch, with the assistance of the Offender Management Unit, attended a residence in Oshawa. The suspect was located nearby and taken into custody without incident.

A 17-year-old male from Oshawa is charged with: Aggravated Assault x1, Assault with a Weapon x1, Possess Weapon for Committing an Offence x1, and Breach of Recognizance x2.

He was held for a bail hearing.
