DRPS Traffic Services yesterday displayed a car number plate (above) that it said was fake.
These fake plates were observed by an officer under tinted plate covers on a car travelling through the Town of Whitby, said a police tweet.
“Stop resulted in serious charges including no insurance, suspended licence, and more,” it said adding that the driver’s car was impounded for 45 day and faced a court date for this one.

It said Durham Paramedics were travelling with lights and sirens on Highway 7/12.
The driver of the cube truck [below] seemed totally unaware. End result was a traffic stop and charges laid.
Please be aware of your surroundings, it urged drivers.
DRPS Traffic Services said another motorist was charged for driving at twice the speed limit.

The driver was doing 119kmh. Further, it was found that the driver was no longer licenced. Appropriate charges were laid.
