Ontario Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) from the Town of Ajax, Rob Cerjanec, yesterday launched his campaign with a call for tax exemption on the young earning their first $54,000.
In his speech to over 150 supporters Cerjanec discussed his vision for party renewal, fresh ideas, and supporting young people to get ahead.
He discussed his Private Members Bill (PMB) that he introduced last week with one of his co-chairs, MPP Stephanie Bowman, that would eliminate provincial income tax on the first $54,000 earned by young people under the age of 27.
In the coming months, Rob said he will continue putting forward ideas that help families keep more of what they earn. Ideas that tackle the costs being downloaded onto municipalities and property taxpayers, ideas that stop wasteful spending by the Doug Ford conservatives.
As the campaign unfolds, Rob invites all Ontarians to join the Let’s Build Ontario movement and engage in the dialogue about the future of the Ontario Liberal Party.
