Apply for a grant if you’re helping keep community safe

Durham Region, in partnership with Public Safety Canada, is now accepting applications for the Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Fund Grant program.

According to the region, the grant is designed to support not-for-profit organizations and community groups leading violence prevention initiatives across Durham. The program is part of Durham’s broader commitment to promoting safety and well-being through the implementation of its CSWB Plan.

Applications will be accepted for the following three funding streams from July 28 to August 22:

  • Stream One: Direct Intervention Fund
  • Stream Two: Community Strengthening Fund
  • Stream Three: Intimate Partner Violence and Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response Fund

Eligible applicants can submit their proposals by completing the online application form available on the Region’s website.

Durham Region notes that local not-for-profits and community partners are well-positioned to respond to complex safety and well-being challenges, thanks to their knowledge of community needs and experience with service delivery.
