Durham police say a 30-year-old woman is facing dozens of charges after she was found in a stolen vehicle in Oshawa last week.
According to investigators, members of the Central East Division Community Response Unit were conducting proactive patrols on Thursday, July 24, in the area of Albany Street and Front Street when they spotted a stolen pickup truck. Officers watched as a woman exited the vehicle and entered a store to obtain clothing in an apparent attempt to disguise her appearance.
Police say the woman was followed for a short distance before she was arrested without incident.
During the arrest, officers allegedly found the woman in possession of various stolen identification and bank cards, along with over 60 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
A 30-year-old woman, of Oshawa was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
