Durham Police yesterday said a male has been arrested after he stabbed another male during an altercation in Oshawa.
On Sunday, August 4, at about 12:55 am, members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Simcoe Street South and Mill Street. Two males were involved in a verbal altercation resulting in the victim being stabbed.
Officers located the victim a short distance away and began life saving measures. He was transported to a Toronto area trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, said police
At about 8:30 am, officers located the suspect in the area of Simcoe Street South and Albany Street, in Oshawa. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The man, age 35 of No Fixed Address was charged. Police did not say whether he was held for bail or released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
