At-risk users have begun moving into Beaverton Heights

The Region of Durham has announced that program participants have begun moving into Beaverton Heights transitional housing.

This residence aims to help those experiencing—or at risk of—homelessness to successfully overcome barriers to housing.

The 47-unit residence was opened early November (see below), and is located at 121 Nine Mile Road, Beaverton in the Township of Brock.

It includes a community hub space, outdoor garden areas and recreational facilities. The virtual tour is available on YouTube. The service operator at Beaverton Heights is Blue Door.
