Baseball: Ray Carter Cup action this weekend

Baseball Oshawa will host the 2019 Baseball Canada Ray Carter Cup 15U National Championship from Thursday, August 22 to Sunday, August 25.

This event will feature the best players in the country. This is the second straight summer that Baseball Oshawa has hosted this prestigious event. The association is hopeful that our 15U team, coached by Oshawa Fire Services Captain Quick, will win the title after last weekend’s National Championship victory by the Oshawa Junior Legionaires.

The Oshawa Legionaires open the 15U tournament at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 22 vs. Team Quebec at historic Kinsmen Stadium (89 Arena St.) in downtown Oshawa. Opening ceremonies begin at 6 pm.

A full tournament adult pass is $50 and single day passes are $20 at the gate.

The full schedule can be viewed on Baseball Canada’s website.
