Bike rider fighting for life after losing control of Yamaha

Durham Police yesterday said a male sustained life-threatening injuries after crashing his motorcycle in Ajax.

On Wednesday, October 9, at about 9:55 pm, members from West Division responded to a collision in the area of Dowty Road and Station Street.

A 20-year-old male was driving his black Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Dowty Road when he lost control and left the roadway. The male was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where his injuries were deemed life-threatening, said police.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
