Bowmanville robber’s description released

Durham Police investigators are looking for an armed male suspect after a cellphone store was robbed at gunpoint in Bowmanville on Thursday morning.

On December 24, at approximately 10:30 am, members of East Division were called to the Freedom Mobile store on Regional Highway 2 in Bowmanville for an armed robbery.

The suspect entered the store with a firearm and demanded the cellphones from the safe. While in the safe, a quantity of cash was also taken. The male left in a black vehicle, police said.

The clerk was not physically harmed during the incident.

The suspect is described as: male, he wore all black clothing with a mask that had long white hair, reading glasses, long pointy nose and a white beard.
