Closures today on Lake Ridge and Pickering Beach roads

The Regional Municipality of Durham has announced ongoing road closures on Pickering Beach Road and Lake Ridge Road.

It advised residents of the Town of Ajax that Pickering Beach Road closure is from May 23 until July.

It will be closed (with residential access points), from Foord Road to Pickering Beach Road.

The closure is required for the construction of a new watermain, it said adding that detour signs will be in place.

For the duration of the project, the road will only be opened for access to local residents and emergency vehicles. Residents will be notified in advance of any driveway restrictions.

Lake Ridge Road part closed today

The Regional Municipality, in co-operation with Pickering, Whitby, and Scugog and Uxbridge, is rehabilitating Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23).

As part of the construction, portions of Lake Ridge Road will be closed temporarily today.

Road reconstruction work is ongoing on Lake Ridge Road until September.
