Cyclist critical as police look for hit-and-run driver

Durham Police are looking for witnesses to a collision involving a cyclist in Uxbridge on Saturday morning.

On March 26 at 6 am, paramedics attended a collision scene involving a cyclist on Sandford Road, 300 metres west of Concession Road 3 in Uxbridge. The cyclist was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a Toronto trauma centre and remains in critical condition, said a police statement.

Police were advised and the Collision Investigative Unit is collecting evidence and appealing for witnesses to come forward. The vehicle involved would have sustained damage to the front/passenger side, it added.
