Aspiring professionals looking to break into the film and television (TV) industry can take the first step by attending the Durham Region Film Commission’s (Film Durham) Film and Television Industry Career Fair.
This free event is open to high school and post-secondary students, as well as adults considering a career change. Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Connect with industry professionals and gain firsthand knowledge of the film and TV industry in Durham Region.
- Participate in panel discussions and explore the industry through interactive displays.
- Learn about over 150 career opportunities, including cinematography, production management, set design, accounting, electrical, makeup, locations, costuming, carpentry, visual effects, transportation, and more.

With new studios opening across Canada and the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area (GTHA), the demand for skilled workers in film and television production is rising at an unprecedented rate.
