Police looking for three unsuccessful car thieves

Durham Regional Police are searching for three suspects following an attempted vehicle theft in Pickering.

On Wednesday, January 16, at about 5:20 am, officers from West Division responded to a report of an attempted car theft in the area of Bronte Square and Glendale Drive. According to police, three suspects attempted to steal a Toyota pick-up truck from a residential driveway but were unsuccessful and fled the scene in a white Range Rover SUV.

A short time later, officers located the unoccupied Range Rover near Rougemount Drive and Altona Road. Police stated that the vehicle had visible front-end damage and may have been involved in a collision.
