Don’t drive crowded, strap your pets in the back

Police officers yesterday caught two drivers speeding along with pets all over the vehicle.

One of them was clicked having a cat on the lap while driving.

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) North Division officers yesterday tweeted that they found a stunt driver speeding at 92kmh in a 50-zone in Uxbridge.

This cost this driver a 30-day licence suspension, 14-day vehicle impound and a hefty fine, said the tweet.

“PS: Don’t drive crowded, safely strap your dogs in the back,” it added – not as an after-thought.

Meanwhile, DRPS Traffic Services monitoring Highway 7/12 and Brock Concession Road 2 in the Township of Brock, found a driver with a pet cat on the lap.

As you can see from the photos (top and below), there are a couple of issues:

  1. Speeding in a construction zone, and
  2. A kitten wandering the driver compartment.

Appropriate charges were laid, said a tweet.
