Schoolyard Tree Accident

An Oshawa parent received a call while they were at work, that their son had been involved in a serious accident in his schoolyard, and that she needed to get to the school ASAP.

The boy was struck by a falling tree in his schoolyard. This accident has had a significant impact on the child and the family. Due to the extent of his injuries, the boy will have a long road ahead to recovery.

The co-worker of the mother has set up a GoFundMe for “this great family to help ease the financial burden and allow them to focus solely on getting their son back to full health and enjoying his childhood, as he should”.

The Oshawa community has rallied behind the child and his family by raising almost $16,000 toward a $18,000 goal.
