Durham police yesterday said one suspect has been arrested and police are searching for a 31-year old male after a stabbing in Oshawa.
On Monday, November 24, at about 3:20 pm, members from Central East Division responded to Albert Street and Albany Street for an armed person call.
Officers arrived on scene and located a female who had been stabbed. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Two suspects fled prior to police arrival.
Further investigation revealed the two suspects were linked to two previous stabbings in Oshawa that left two victims with minor injuries.
On Wednesday, November 26 police located and arrested one of the suspects without incident.
The second suspect is still at large and is described as a 31-year old male of Oshawa. Hispanic, medium build, brown short hair and has a goatee. A photo and more information about the suspects can be found at drps.ca.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact D/Cst Hutcheson of the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext.2739.
