Durham Police say they’re not making it up. They say they cannot.
A tweet from Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday recounted a bizarre story of suspended driving licences told by officers from the West Division.
“We can’t make it up…,” insisted the DRPS.
It said a West Division officer stopped a driver for using the cellphone on the roadway.
Turns out… their driver’s license was suspended 😬, said the tweet.
The driver called a friend to come, get their car to drive the violator home… turns out the friend’s licence was suspended too!
“$2,615 in fines 😐,” added the tweet.
An even more bizarre tale of suspended drivers was told in early 2020 (see below).
