Eight stolen vehicles recovered from auto shop

Durham Police said a 60-year-old male has been charged after police recovered stolen vehicles from an auto shop in Ajax.

On August 17 at around 5:10 pm, members of West Division responded to the area of Fairall Street and Westney Road South in Ajax for a stolen vehicle that had been tracked to an auto shop.

Further investigation revealed multiple stolen vehicles associated to the property. A Criminal Code search warrant was executed and a total of eight vehicles were recovered. Four of the vehicle had been disassembled into parts. The estimated value of the recovered property is $400,000-$500,000, said a police statement.

The suspect of Stouffville, was charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
