Watch Air1 help nab suspects in Break-and-Enter

Durham Police said a male and female were arrested after a break-and-enter in Clarington.

On Thursday, August 31 at around 8:38 pm, members from East Division attended the area of White Cliffe drive and Robert Adams Drive after a resident observed an unknown female exiting a garage with a box of items.

The resident also observed a suspicious male further away from her residence with a box of items. The unknown female was confronted by the resident and fled the scene. The DRPS Air1 helicopter was in close proximity and was able to assist. Air1 followed the two suspects, maintaining a visual until officers arrived on scene, said a police statement.

The female was located by a responding unit and arrested. The male continued to flee on foot and was arrested by another responding unit with the assistance of Air1.

The male and female suspects, both 44, were charged and released on an undertaking. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
