Elderly woman pedestrian in critical condition after being hit

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday tweeted that an elderly female pedestrian was struck in the area of Glen Hill Drive and Dundas Street East in Whitby.

She was being transported to a Toronto trauma centre with life threatening injuries. Please avoid the area, said the DRPS.

Dundas Street East was closed for several hours in both directions between Thickson Road and Bowman Avenue in Whitby while officers conducted their collision investigation.
