Man succumbs to gunshot wounds, no charges yet

Durham Police homicide investigators were called to investigate a shooting early Thursday morning that claimed the life of a 33-year-old male in Ajax.

On November 11 at about 4:25 am, members of West Division were called to a residence on Pembry Drive in Ajax for an armed person call. A 33-year-old male was located with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre, but was later pronounced dead at the hospital, said a police statement.

There are no charges at this time and the investigation is ongoing, it added.

This is Durham Region’s seventh homicide of 2021.
