Oshawa schools lockdown due to Ajax shooting case standoff

Durham Police homicide investigators have arrested three suspects in connection with a fatal shooting which claimed the life of a 33-year-old Ajax male.

On November 11, at about 4:25 am, members of West Division were called to a residence on Pembry Drive in Ajax for an armed person call. A 33-year-old male was located with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre but was later pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Maurice Fullerton, said a police statement.

Three suspects were arrested shortly after the incident in relation to a residence on Highland Avenue in Oshawa.

Earlier reports said one of the men was barricaded inside prompting a lockdown of three schools in the area.

Devin Mandley-Byer, age 22, Trevor Kotzma, age 25 and Michael Rodgers, age 25 were arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder.
