Five charged after raid on illegal weed farm, released

Five males are facing charges after police executed a search warrant under the Cannabis Act in Uxbridge.

On Saturday, October 8, members from the Drug Enforcement Unit along with the Gun and Gang Unit executed a search warrant on Regional Road 1 after receiving information that several hundred cannabis plants were being grown on the property. As a result of the search warrant, officers seized 291 large cannabis plants and five males were taken into custody.

All parties were released on an undertaking.
