A child was crossing a crescent in Ajax when she was struck by a car. The four-year-old suffered serious injuries following the single vehicle collision.
On Tuesday, June 30, around 8:15 pm, members of West Division responded to a pedestrian involved collision in the area of Keith Wright Crescent and Gillett Drive.
A 4-year-old girl was struck by a Honda Civic when she crossed Keith Wright Crescent. The girl was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The 16-year-old driver and 38-year-old passenger of the Honda did not sustain any injuries and remained on scene for the investigation.
Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected. At this time, the investigation remains ongoing.
