June parking lot stabber caught and now faces charges

A fight occurred a few weeks ago that led to a man stabbing another in Oshawa. The stabber has been found and is facing charges, police said.

On Sunday, June 14, around 10:30 pm, members of Central East Division responded to a fight call in the area of Simcoe Street and John Street. Police received information that a large group of people were involved in a physical altercation. Officers arrived on scene and located one man suffering from minor injuries and one man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim suffering from minor injuries was transported to a local-area hospital.

The stabbing victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious but non-life-threatening condition, where he has since been upgraded to stable condition.

On Wednesday, July 1, officers located the suspect in Oshawa. He was taken into custody without incident. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.

At the time of the incident the 30-year old suspect of No Fixed Address was on weapons prohibition conditions. He was held for a bail hearing.
