Gas line and watermain bursts impact traffic flows

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday closed off Taunton Road between Stevenson Road and Northbrook Street in Oshawa, for a gas line rupture.

Fire Services was on scene. DRPS assisted with traffic control. Please avoid the area, said the police alert.

Meanwhile, the Regional Municipality of Durham also announced a road closure yesterday affecting Park Road South in the City of Oshawa due to a watermain break.

The watermain has been isolated on Park Road South between King Street West and Hibbert Avenue in Oshawa. The affected area extends west to Montrave Avenue and east to Nassau Street, it said.
