How many traffic violations did this car have?

Most of the times Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers have a fairly straightforward charge against erring drivers – such as speedsters or stop sign or red light jumpers.

But, sometimes they are left scratching  their heads as perhaps was the case with the driver of the above vehicle.

At the end, it seems they threw the book at the motorist.

“Modified vehicle – improper tires, tires rubbing the car, no front plate, improper muffler, expired insurance, unnecessary noise, unfit motor vehicle, and too dark window tint,” they ticked off the litany of violations.

“Make sure your vehicle is safe and in proper condition!” said the DRPS East Division.

Cellphone Use = $615+

In another instance, DRPS East Division officers pointed out that holding a hand-held communication device = $615,3 points, 3-day suspension upon payment, $280 reinstastement fee, and court time, which could result in more charges.

Put the phone down while driving, they advised (image below).

Tighten Your Lug Nuts

One of the HTA  offenders may not have inspected their vehicle.

DRPS Traffic Services said even though you may have a nice new trailer, make sure your lug nuts are torqued to the proper specifications (image below).
