Help Durham Police find hit-and-run driver

Durham Police is asking for help from the public in tracing a driver who hit a pedestrian and fled the scene.

On Thursday, December 12 at about 5:25 pm, a pedestrian was walking eastbound on Kingston Road West, at Chapman Drive in Ajax when they were struck by a vehicle.

The suspect vehicle left the scene and was last seen travelling westbound on Kingston Road West, police said.

The pedestrian was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators are asking for anyone with video footage, including dashcam, from Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 5:15 pm to 5:45 pm to please contact Cst. Ayubi at 905-579-1520 ext. 4042.
