Durham’s own furry little enforcers were on the job again, using tact and diplomacy to talk a suspect into surrendering.
It appears that the supect was holed up in a home and was refusing to come out.
Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) K-9 Unit rose to the occasion, negotiating a successful outcome.
Unit members PC Wayne King, K9 Rogue, PC Wright and K9 Hawk teamed up to “persuade” a wanted perp into exiting a house after both PSDs (police service dogs) “talked” him into peacefully surrendering without incident, explained the police.
It said this was a perfect example of how K9 presence can lead to a peaceful resolution.
